Cornwall – who doesn´t think of the famous cottages with beautiful gardens, spectacular coastal scenery, picturesque fishing villages, hidden coves and sandy beaches… And it was in one of these hidden coves that Tony Fraser, the founder of Cornish, came across the remains of an ancient sea saltworks from a bygone era. An idea began to germinate in Tony – why not bring a piece of the ancient world into the 21st century and combine ancient harvesting methods with modern knowledge? The plan quickly took shape and some time later the first production was to start. Cornish uses only Atlantic water from the open sea for production and no coastal water. From the concentrated brine of this Atlantic water, which is rich in minerals, the manufactory extracts extraordinary sea salt flakes with craftsmanship and skill. The fine flakes have a soft and crispy consistency and melt in your mouth. The Cornish Flakes are therefore the perfect table salt for final re-salting at the table and have become a new star of the upscale gastronomy.
